After running her popular Delicious Istanbul cooking classes Olga Irez continues teaching Turkish home cooking to the travelers to the Aegean coast of Turkey, out of her cozy family restaurant kitchen in Alaçatı. Babushka Alaçatı Cooking Class Program

Get picked up from your accommodation (or bus station) and walk (or ride) to Babushka Alaçatı, restaurant run by the Turkish-Russian couple in the heart of the old Greek village. Meet your cooking instructor over home prepared traditional Turkish breakfast with carefully sourced ingredients from the local artisan producers and homemade bread. After the detailed introduction into the recipes and essential Turkish pantry, join the preparation of a few starters, main course and dessert. Enjoy the fruits of labor over a chat and a glass of internationally awarded Aegean wine.

Babushka Alaçatı Cooking Class Practical Information

Time: We meet at 9.00 am and get done at about 2 pm.
Cost: US$125 per person including round-trip transfer (if applies), breakfast, cooking class instruction and ingredients, lunch with wine.
Number of participants: Min 2 – max 8 people.
Pickup: Available for Alaçatı, Çeşme, Ilıca and Dalyan.
Class design: Our classes are hands-on, so expect to roll up your sleeves. We cook like one typically does at a Turkish kitchen which means that preparation of every dish is often a shared effort.
Menu: Menu typically includes 3-4 starters, main course and dessert. Menu changes every time and is subject to the season and interest of the participants.
Recipes: Recipes (diligently tested and including detailed directions) for all the dishes from the cooking class are emailed within a week after the class.
Special requirements: Our cooking classes do not require special skills; your enthusiasm is a key ingredient for the delicious meal and good time.
Getting to Alaçatı: Alaçatı is about an hour drive away from Izmir. Buses from Üçkuyular terminal in Izmir regularly leave for Alaçatı. Please, get in touch with us for the schedule.
